month of July

Image
Man, July has been absolutely packed! I’ve been hitting the gym hard, mostly crushing it on the treadmill and the rowing machine. Honestly, the only way I get through those brutal cardio sessions is by blasting my favorite rock tracks; nothing beats a heavy guitar riff when your lungs are burning.  Outside the gym, things got surprisingly creative. I’ve been super into recycling lately, making these awesome paper flowers and even crafting crayfish out of old egg cartons. Sounds wild, but they look pretty cool!  Catching up with mates has been choice too. We had an epic karaoke session with Wilrose and the Te Puke crew, absolute laughs all around.  On top of that I've been heading over to iDance to learn a new Michael Jackson routine. Trying to nail those legendary moves is no joke, but it’s been a total vibe, and I'm loving every single minute of it. My favorite thing this month has been practicing for the talent quest in acting and role play. I can't wait sooo wat...

month of June

June has been so awesome for me, with lots of exciting activities and achievements. One of my biggest highlights was finishing my photography portfolio and printing it. I was so proud of how it looked that I showed everybody!. I really enjoyed editing the photos, choosing the best shot and angles. To see all of my hard work come together was so rewarding for me, I got  to create something I am proud of. Drama has been a big part of my month. I brought lots of energy to the stage and had fun trying on different costumes for characters that I played. I worked on my vocals and felt confident performing in front of others. It has been a really good way to express myself and build my confidence up. I enjoyed visiting the Te Puke centre to catch up with everyone and play basketball. It is a fun way for me to keep fit, active and spend time with my friends. I also visited the Papamoa library for  te reo storytime about Matariki that is in july, it was very interesting and I lo...

month of may

What a Month! May has been an awesome month, packed with great energy, hard work, and plenty of personal growth. The bush walks this month have been a major highlight. Exploring the trails at Summerhill and McLaren Falls was a great chance to unplug and connect with nature. A huge highlight has been tuning into the native bird sounds along the way, which has made these week day treks incredibly peaceful and rewarding. On these outings I experimented with new photography skills to fill a space using angles, lighting and focus zooms. Kluim park my favorite place  There was some fantastic hands-on work done over at the Welcome Bay Hot Pools. It wasn't just about putting in the hard yards to help maintain the facility; there was also plenty of time earned to sit back, relax, and enjoy a well-deserved soak in the hot water. Balancing good honest work with total relaxation was the perfect mix. In drama class, the focus was all about building confidence. Stepping out of the c...
